Naturopathic Doctor

I am pleased to be part of the MDNC team, where I bring with me over a decade in clinical practice.

While I do have a general practice where I empower all my patients to live healthier lives, I have advanced clinical training in the following areas:

  • DAN! (defeat autism now) – all matters concerning testing and treatment related to autism, ADD, ADHD, PDD, etc.
  • IMMH (integrated medicine for mental health) – integrative approaches for anxiety, depression, bipolar, PTSD, sleep concerns, addictions and cognitive decline (including Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s)

I also spend a great deal of clinical time in the following;
  • Allergies - to food and environment (testing and treatment)
  • Digestive concerns – including Crohns , IBD/IBS, infections (testing and treatment)
  • Detoxification – testing and treatment
  • Pain management – including acupuncture and other injection therapies
  • Skin health – including acne, eczema and psoriasis
  • Children’s health – including poor immune function and asthma

    I enjoy educating others and I continue to teach senior students at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine and lecture for the Canadian Mental Health Association. I have also been a medical advisor with a large Canadian nutraceutical company. I have also served my profession with previous roles in the British Columbia Naturopathic Association and currently sit on the board of directors for the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia as President. I worked at Vancouver General Hospital in a previous career for over eight years. During that time, I saw many people at the far end of the medical continuum. What became so evident to me then was the importance of prevention with regards to health. This was a major factor that moved me to study naturopathic medicine. As one of my mentors used to say "the body has only one warranty and when it expires, it is very difficult to renew." Keen listening, appropriate testing and individualized treatment are all things I take pride in when treating my patients. I consider it an honor to be of service in this role for you.
